Solar deities and sun worship can be found throughout most of recorded history in various forms. The strongest worship of Solar Deity are said to be in the traditions of Indian tribes of both Americas, especially in the regions of today’s Mexico and Peru. Not lesser was it worshiped in the early cultures of West Asia and Ancient Egypt.

The sun doctrine was brought to Europe during Roman Empire by the Roman legions and the centric image of the cult was named „Sol Invictus” (Unconquered Sun).
