MANEKI NEKO

The Maneki Neko, literally "Beckoning Cat" is a common Japanese sculpture depicting a sitting cat beckoning with an upleft (sometimes upright) paw. In another paw Maneki Neko holds a coin worth 10 million ryō.

Maneki Neko displayed at homes and offices —usually facing the entrance— welcomes the visitors and attracts good fortune, wealth and happy family life.
